COLUMBIA, Md. (Sept. 14, 2007) – Manekin, LLC has formed an equity partnership with national real estate investment company, Alex. Brown Realty, Inc. in the $60 million mixed-use Water’s Edge Corporate Campus it is developing with Clark Turner Companies in Belcamp, Md.

The partnership with Alex. Brown Realty is designed to capitalize on the forthcoming BRAC realignment, which will relocate approximately 8,200 jobs to Harford County. “We are extremely pleased and fortunate to have a well-established real estate investment manager, Alex. Brown Realty as our equity partner in Water's Edge,” said Don Schline, Manekin Investment Services Associate, who negotiated the partnership arrangement.

Alex. Brown Realty’s president and CEO John M. Upon completion, the 467,000-square-foot Water’s Edge Corporate Campus will comprise four mid-rise office buildings and eight one-story office/service buildings, as well as a hotel, restaurant, putting green, nature walk and fitness center on the shore of the Bush River.

The first three office buildings at Water’s Edge are open and home to such tenants as: Booz Allen Hamilton; SafeNet, Inc.; GW Stephens & Associates; The SURVICE Engineering Company; MITRE Corporation; Engineering and Professional Services Corporation; Logistics Management Institute; Applied Research; Regal Decisions; STEM International; TSLP; Ellin & Tucker, Chartered; D&S Consulting, Inc., and MSA, Inc. Accommodating those tenants is restaurant, Bay Gull Grill, located in the campus’ first office/service building.

“Our location between Aberdeen Proving Ground and the Edgewood Arsenal has enabled us to lease space to private sector tenants as well as government contractor tenants in advance of the much-anticipated BRAC project,” Schline added. “We expect to be fully leased prior to the bulk of the BRAC relocations that are due to Harford County by 2011.”
